Armed with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Distinction in International Business Law from Queen Mary University of London, Chike approaches every transaction from a dual perspective—legal precision and commercial strategy. This enables him to craft innovative legal solutions that not only mitigate risk but also drive sustainable competitive advantage and long-term profitability for clients. Chike’s focus is always to provide strategies and solutions that endure rather than focusing on quick wins.
Chike’s transaction portfolio includes advising on multi-million-dollar cross-border acquisitions, sovereign-backed financing, and strategic joint ventures within Nigeria’s dynamic energy and infrastructure sectors. Notably, he acted as transaction counsel to a syndicate of contractors in structuring a ₦50 billion bond, backed by sovereign guarantee, to finance a public utility project. He also served as counsel to an Independent Power Producer (IPP) in the development of a USD 28 million power plant, and was part of the team that advised on the USD 26 million acquisition of a Nigerian power company. Chike co-leads the Niccom team that acts as solicitors to the operators of an OML in Nigeria’s upstream industry.
His deep understanding of the regulatory and commercial landscape positions him as a trusted advisor to boards of directors, investors, and multinational corporations, where he provides strategic counsel on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and cross-border operations. Chike also serves on the boards of local and international companies, offering continuing advisory support on corporate structuring, investment strategy, and market entry.
A consummate professional, Chike’s career has spanned roles in two of Nigeria’s foremost commercial law firms before joining NICCOM, where he continues to lead on major corporate and transactional mandates. Chike is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association – Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) and holds a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the Nigerian Institute of Management.
